Jewellery Care
Jewellery Material
Our jewellery are 14k gold-plated on stainless steel or 925 sterling silver / stainless steel or 925 sterling silver, unless otherwise stated. They are durable, tarnish-resistant and hypoallergenic, making them suitable for most people.
However, the longevity of gold-plated jewellery depends highly on factors such as how often it's worn and how well it's cared for.
Among all materials, only solid gold stands alone in its ability to remain untarnished, as others invariably tarnish with wear. On the flip side, solid gold also comes with a hefty price tag.
Jewellery Care
To ensure longevity of your adored pieces, it is advisable to follow these care tips:
- Keep away from moisture. Especially saltwater or chlorine, as they can be harmful to your jewellery and cause corrosion.
- Remove when sleeping. To avoid tugging or accidental damages.
- Avoid perfumes and lotions on jewellery. Allow perfume or lotion to dry completely before putting it on. As the old saying goes, "Jewellery should be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off".
- Remove before workout. The perspiration and heat may affect the longevity of your jewellery.
- Store in pouch when not in use. Keep away from direct sunlight and heat, store your jewellery in the air-tight bag and pouch provided to avoid scratches and oxidization.
- Lightly clean with polishing cloth. Gently wipe your gold-plated jewellery with the soft polishing cloth provided after wearing them to maintain its luster and shine; Avoid using a silver polishing cloth as it may remove the gold plating. For 925 sterling silver and stainless steel, you may use the silver polishing provided to clean the jewellery.
